A Local Precision Medicine Research Program
Help us discover how DNA affects health.
Pitt+Me Discovery is enrolling UPMC patients ages 18 and up from western Pennsylvania.
People who join agree to provide a sample (like blood or saliva), allow secure access to their electronic health records, and agree to be contacted in the future by the study team.
With the help of our participants, we are building a database for local researchers to study how a person’s DNA affects their health and response to medications. A better understanding of how DNA influences health can lead to new personalized and individualized ways to predict, prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases, also known as precision medicine.
